Baby Shower Invitation/Inspiration

My coworker is having a baby girl! And that means that I get to team up with the ladies to throw the most fabulous baby shower possible in a conference room.

Facts:
  • After two boys she's having her first baby GIRL.
  • She herself is NOT a girlie-girl.
  • Despite not being a girlie-girl, she's into the pink because... well... she's having a GIRL!
  • She's diggin' frogs for the nursery.

I found this image and love it! The elephant is "showering" the frogs, and it's PINK!

I'm thinking this is the inspiration for the shower.

The other side of the fairway...

Snapped this while waiting for my hubs to tee off on our last visit to Solvang. I love that my view is this rustic barn, and the barn's view is of manicured fairways.

Manic Monday

Today is the first day of what promises to be a very interesting week - last week of classes for Spring 2010 (woo hoo) and a reporting week at work (wah wah wah).

I did however make a batch of banana muffins to share with my coworkers to make the day a little sweeter.

Sugar = happy today.
Baking = sanity last night.

Ocean View vs. Point of View

Wishing I was on the golf course with my husband today! He's enjoying an ocean view and fresh air... while I'm in sweats with with dirty hair writing a term paper. Such is life.

The paper is on "The Reckoning" by David Halberstam. A gigantic non-fiction about the auto industry.

I'm struggling because the professor wants to know what "big thing" we learned for the subject of the paper. What I took away from it is that every worker is intrinsically tied to the fortunes of the companies they work for... and the make-up of the workforce creates the culture, which determines the fate of the organization. Is that a big thing? I guess we'll see.

Getting back to work, dreaming of sunshine and tee boxes.
